DESCRIPTION:The Digital\, Data\, and Technology (DDaT) Conference hosted by the National Fire Chiefs Council is a pivotal event designed to bring together senior leaders and practitioners in the fire service sector. With a focus on digital transformation\, data management\, and cybersecurity\, this conference serves as a platform to explore innovative strategies and technologies shaping the future of firefighting and emergency response.  From transferable examples in other sectors to case studies from our own services\, we’ll hear from those leading the way in the DDaT field. \nBy harnessing the collective expertise and insights of industry leaders and practitioners\, the conference aims to empower fire and rescue services to meet the evolving challenges of the 21st century effectively. \nAn agenda\, which is subject to change is now available here. \nKey Themes: \n\nDigital Transformation and Innovation: Sessions under this theme delve into leveraging digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency and safety. Topics include the integration of IoT devices\, a framework for the use of AI\, drone technology and looking to the future of the fire engine and fire ground operations.\nData Management and Analytics: This track explores best practices for collecting\, analysing\, and utilizing data to inform decision-making within fire and rescue services. Discussions may cover data frameworks\, data quality\, and the role of advanced analytics in optimising response protocols.\nCyber security: As digitalisation increases within the fire service sector\, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures is paramount. Workshops and presentations in this track address cyber threats specific to emergency services\, risk mitigation strategies\, and building cyber-resilience capabilities to safeguard critical national infrastructure and sensitive information.\n\nObjectives: \n\nKnowledge Exchange: Facilitate knowledge sharing among attendees regarding successful digital transformation initiatives\, data management strategies\, and cybersecurity practices implemented within fire and rescue services nationally and internationally.\nNetworking Opportunities: Provide a platform for senior leaders\, practitioners\, and technology experts to network\, collaborate\, and forge partnerships aimed at driving innovation and excellence in emergency response.\nProfessional Development: Offer attendees access to thought-provoking keynote presentations\, interactive workshops\, and hands-on demonstrations to enhance their skills and expertise in navigating the evolving landscape of DDaT within the fire and rescue sector.\n\nAudience: \nSenior Leaders: Chief Fire Officers\, Commissioners\, and other senior executives responsible for setting strategic direction\, policy and procurement within fire and rescue services. \nPractitioners: Frontline firefighters and operational staff involved in the implementation and utilization of digital technologies\, data management systems\, and cybersecurity protocols. \nTakeaways: \n\nInsights into emerging trends and technologies shaping the future of fire and rescue services.\nPractical strategies for leveraging data and technology to enhance operational effectiveness and public safety.\nActionable steps for strengthening cyber security defences and safeguarding critical assets against cyber threats.\n\nBooking Options \nTickets are available to purchase for the full event or individual days as desired.  Please read the ticket description fully to understand what is included in each option. \nThe conference will begin with registration\, lunch and networking at 11.30 on 19th with conference sessions kicking off at 1pm.  The 20th will be a full day of sessions and the event will conclude with lunch on 21st by 2pm.  We will be holding a networking dinner on the evening of 19th but there will be no organised evening event on 20th\, giving delegates the opportunity to make their own plans and explore the lovely city of Chester. \nIf you are booking an option with no accommodation – i.e. a day ticket we are unable to book separate accommodation for you and you are responsible for booking your own accommodation directly. \nWe have 100 bedrooms available at the conference venue and a further 20 bedrooms at a nearby Holiday Inn Express and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. \nNFCC Digital\, Data and Technology Awards 2024 \nFor 2024\, we will be hosting the first NFCC DDaT Awards which recognise and celebrate the achievements of DDaT activity in fire and rescue services. The presentation of the awards will take place during the networking dinner on the 19th June\, where winners will be announced on the night. By nominating an individual or team\, you will be supporting their skills\, dedication and commitment whilst also helping to raise the profile of prevention and protection work.
